Why We Chose To Use Plant Stem Cells In Our Serums

Before we dive into the wonders of stem cells, let’s dig a little deeper into the world of all-natural beauty.

Any beauty brand that markets its products as “all-natural” should be paraben-free, fragrance-free, BHT & BHA free, and cruelty-free.

Fièra Cosmetics is all those things, and more. In this article, find out everything you need to know about stem cells and skincare products.

Types of Stem Cells

The body naturally produces stem cells both before birth, and afterward. In the womb, stem cells are called embryonic stem cells. In adulthood, they’re called adult stem cells. Pretty straightforward as far as titles go – but what does that actually entail?

Embryonic:

All stem cells are found in tissue throughout the body. As an embryo, this includes the umbilical cord. Embryonic stem cells are celebrated for their vast healing abilities because they can transform into any type of cell that the body needs. For that reason, they have the potential to repair tissue and cells in patients with Parkinson’s, spinal cord injuries, or in patients suffering from heart attacks.

That said, embryonic cell stem research is hotly debated due to its ethically ambiguous methods. To properly study, and use embryonic stem cells for their properties, the embryo must be destroyed at an early stage.

According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), embryonic stem cell intervention has been done in a human trial performed by a group of scientists in 2009. However, research concerning embryonic stem cells has become more political over time, and therefore the process of discovery has slowed significantly.

Even though embryonic stem cells are clearly not the type of stem cells in our serum, it’s important to understand the difference.

Adult:

The healing abilities of adult stem cells are less adaptable than embryonic stem cells, but they still have many benefits, including repair, and protection within the body.

However, they can’t become just any type of cell-like embryonic stem cells can. Additionally, adult stem cells tend to decline over time.

Adult stem cells are also not the type of stem cells in our serum…

So, what do we use?

You guessed it – plant stem cells!

How They’re Used In Cosmetics

Slowly but surely, most plants and animals have the ability to repair themselves after (most) injuries. You might notice with age, however, that the recovery period is getting longer and longer.

Perhaps it’s more difficult for your body to heal itself even after even a simple bruise, scratch, or cut.

That’s where stem cell supplements in skincare can make a difference.

Anti-Aging and Stem Cells

Anti-aging products often mention collagen: the natural protein our bodies produce for skin health, and skin elasticity.

They also tend to mention the epidermis: the outer layer of the skin responsible for many functions of the body, including skin cell reproduction.

The importance of these two productions is imperative to the wellbeing of your skin, especially as we age. Though mature skin is less likely to manage this process on its own, plant stem cells have been proven to increase levels of epidermal and collagen production.

Because the stem cells in these products are derived from plants, they are unable to adapt and grow on their own when used as supplements. Nevertheless, they will assist with the necessary repair of even the most mature skin. Hence, the fading of wrinkles, fine lines, and liver spots.

Products

Anti-aging might be the phrase beauty brands use to promote products that assist with signs of aging, however, Fièra Cosmetics is a pro-age company, and we are dedicated to embracing age within the world of beauty.

To embrace age, we must also embrace health. Your beauty is innate – you might just need the tools to see it for yourself. When giving your skin the tools it needs to feel healthy, you’ll notice a significant difference in both feel and appearance.

That’s why Fièra uses stem cell supplements as the main ingredient in these two products:

  • Fièra Apple Cream: A plant-based stem cell product, with the purpose of restoring a youthful look, and feel to your skin. This cream also tightens the skin, and delays or banishes signs of aging. It also includes:
    • Natural Hemp Oil & Hydrolyzed Collagen, Vitamin A & Vitamin E
  • Fièra Citrus Serum: This serum uses the citrus plant-based stem cell supplement as an antioxidant to preserve, and enhance your skin. Plus, it features these other all-natural ingredients:
    • Caribbean Orange Oil & Vitamin C, Sodium Hyaluronate & Glycerin

It’s never too late to repair, and restore your skin. Taking care of mature skin can be imperative to other aspects of your health, and should be taken seriously. That’s why we’re here to help with accessible, user-friendly products, and advice.
